At present Windows Update and Office update operate
separately and differently.
Critical updates (security related) or to keep the product
'whole' (English language editions include proofing tools
for English/French/Spanish) are displayed.
You can subscribe to the Officeupdate newsletter and
use the links there to choose only the updates you want
rather than have the online updater run a check of updates
needed.

I do not want to add the French update. In xp you can hide updates that you
have no intention of installing. I want to do the same with the 2 French
updates. Any ideas? <<
