Can I highlight cells (yellow, red, ...) in Project?

Is there a way to highlight cells or rows in Project like in Excel? I'd like
to be able to do this when I do live reporting.

You can not highlight cells. You can change the text color or the barstyle,
but not the cell background.

another alternative is to use a customised field with a colourful graphic in
it (tools / customise / fields)
