Can I identify the task owner in 2003?

Is there any magic that will allow me to see who owns what tasks within a
project plan?

I currently have the PMs publishing selected tasks so they can take
ownership; however I would like to know who owns the tasks by looking at the
plan...

This is not possible in Project Server 2003, and is only possible in Project
Server 2007. You can see the information in PWA on the View Resource
Assignments page, however. Hope this helps.

the view resource assignmnets page does not contain the Project Manager
column which would tell me who the task owner is. Is there anyway to add this
column to this page?

Yes, the Project Server administrator would need to add the Project Manager
column to the Summary view for Assignments. Better yet, he/she could create
a custom Assignments view that includes this column, plus any other relevant
columns, with the columns placed in order of best use. Hope this helps.
