Can I import from Excel or word into oneNote?

I have bought One Note in the hope that it sorts out my chaotic paper
mismanagement.

I work a lot with spreadsheets and would like to either import from lotus
123 or have a hyperlink to a file is that possible and how do I do it?

Have OneNote open at the page where you want to insert the link.

Open Windows Explorer to the directory containing the file, drag the
file to the OneNote page. You will, if you are using OneNote SP1, be
offered three options including inserting a link.

If you insert a link OneNote will insist on warning you, when you
attempt, to use the link that hyperlinks can be dangerous. As far as I
am aware, there is no option to turn the noise and the alert box off.
