Hi;

I installed 2008 Student Teacher Edition over my 2004 Student Teacher Edition and unhappily found that Exchange is broken in the 2008 Student Teacher Edition. Reluctantly, I now have purchased the 2008 Standard Edition.
1) How do I install it the standard edition over the Student Teacher Edition?or rather
2) How do I uninstall the 2008 Student Teacher Edition without deleting my 2004 Student Teacher Exchange settings.
3) Will installing it over the 2008 Student Teacher Edition work?

I'm running Leopard 10.5.1 on a Mac Pro with 8GB RAM and 2 x 3.0Ghz QC CPU's.

Thank You,
Chuck

Hi Chuck!

My comments are inline with yours...

Exchange is not broken in the Office 2008 for Mac Home & Student
edition. It's simply not included and is a feature available only in the
other two versions. This is a product feature decision made by
Microsoft, not a technical issue.

The uninstaller does not delete your personal data. Use the Remove
Office tool found in /Applications/Microsoft Office 2008/Additional
Tools/Remove Office.
3) Will installing it over the 2008 Student Teacher Edition work?

It may, I'm not sure. This may be worth trying first. I suggest you back
up your home folder before trying either of these options.

Hope this helps!
