Yes, you can Install Office 97 in the Windows XP
environment. However, a few questions and suggestions, if
I may:
(1)What application suite, if any, are you already running?
Office XP? Office 2000? If any, then see item (2) below.
(2) I would strongly suggest that you install Office 97 in
a separate Partition on your hard drive so as to avoid
confusion with any other Application Suites. If
unfamiliar with Partioning your hard drive, then get a
friend or relative to help you out. (See
http://www.powerquest.com)(Makers of Partion Magic)
(3) At the very least, install Office 97 by changing the
default installation directory to something more defined,
like "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 97 Professional".
I wish you well in your attempt!
