I want to be able to take office with me anywhere I go, can I install office
xp on a 1GB usb flash drive? Will there be a problem with registry entires
not being added/deleted or modified if I do this?

MS Office places files in the \Program Files\ and the \Windows folders and definitely uses registry entries. If you can fit an
entire virtual PC on the flash drive you might be able to do this.

There are USB drives available with Linux and Open Office, if I recall correctly, prepackaged on them.

You cannot install Office on a flash drive.
I suggest you purchase and use either a
notebook or Tablet PC.

What an interesting idea - could it really work? It's probably OT to ask
how!

Hi Tony,

One that I saw was 'computer on a stick' at the local Fry's electronics.

Thanks, Bob,

I didn't know you could boot off them - I'll have to try to find an excuse
to try it :)
