Can I install Outlook on a file server?

Ray Martin

If I have two PCs at home which are sharing a DSL connection, can I install
Outlook (or any part of the Office suite) on a shared drive and run it on
both PCs? Would there be any license issues? Ot any other problems?

TIA

Hi All,

Thank you for choosing Microsoft Newsgroups!

Actually Outlook will install many system files in the system disk. If you
want to install only one copy of Outlook, and try to use it in two
machines, you can use the following method:

1. You can install the Outlook on one client, and use the terminal or
remote desktop to share the Outlook;
2. You can install the Outlook on a vritual machine, and share it using the
vitual server.

If you have anything unclear, please feel free to let me know. Thank you!

Sincerely,
