Can I install Visio 2007 if other Office programs are XP

When I tried to install Vision Pro 2007 from a cd I received error message
1713, setup cannot install one of the required products for ms office visio
pro 2007. Does this have anything to do with the fact I am running Windows XP
and Office XP (without visio)? Any suggestions (Microsoft tech support won't
help because the version I purchased was through a discount program that does
not include support).
Thanks for any advice.

Visio 2007 is independent of the rest of the Office suite, so the version of
Office should be irrelevent.
