Can I make a favicon with photoshop for Front Page?

I want to make a favicon without having to download other third party
software. I have the Adobe creative suite 2, and am wondering if I can
create one with Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Golive etc? If so, what
size should I save it as, and do I save it as GIF or JPG then just change the
extension to ico?
