Can I make a page where I can book apointments

Hi,

I've built a number of small websites using publisher for work and for
friends. A friend of mine has asked me to build her a website where her
clients can book appointments online (don't worry it's nothing dodgy, she's a
holistic practitioner reflexology etc)

Can I do this in Publisher?

Many Thanks

I wouldn't think the customers would want some sort of public posting of
when they will be away from home. How about an e-mail link on the website?

Something like:

For an appointment, click here.

The word "here" could be hyperlinked with

mailto:[email protected]?Subject=Request for an appointment.

If I were the Doctor friend, the line would read
mailto:[email protected]?Subject=Request for an appointment.

The text after the = would appear automatically on the Subject line of the
e-mail.

BTW, my real e-mail address isn't (e-mail address removed). I don't know if it is a
valid address.

I would tend to agree with Don. Publisher produces static web pages, and it
sounds like you are looking for a dynamic functionality where someone would
get instant confirmation of their appointment. That isn't going to happen
using Publisher. However, you might be able to use a form to at least get
the information needed to make the appointment. Reference the info on forms
and see if you can make that work:

Thanks Guy's I didn't think it was going to be as easy that. I personally
think the form idea is much better anyway for her purposes

Many thanks
Heidi
