Can I Open my XP files in Window Vista?

My previous Desktop computer had Windows XP. I saved documents and photos on
a disc. Some documents were written in Microsoft Word 2003. Other documents
were articles I saved from the internet.

Now I have a new Desktop Computer with Windows Vista, will I be able to
insert that XP disc with all my files and open it in Windows Vista?

Yes, you should be able to read them -- there is no reason not. Have you tried?

Assuming you have programs that will open those file types, you should
be able to. If you have Microsoft Office it should handle most if not all
of your files. Other programs can also open those files.

Have you tried opening them yet?

BTW When you open the file from that disk, it likely will be "read only"
so you will need to do a "save as" to save changes.
