Can I queue a message for a later date?

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: pop

We just transitioned from Eudora. Does anyone know if you can queue a message? Apparently "send later" just puts it in your drafts or outbox but then you have to manually go in and send it.

I once had a script for a delayed send - let me see if I can dig it out.
