Can I run 2008 AND 2004?

I have a still-cellophaned box of Office 2008 sitting on my desk. There are nice things in it that I'm quite keen to use. However, there are very nice things in 2004 that I am reluctant to kiss goodby (marquee and lasso tools in PowerPoint 2004, for starters). Can I load full Office 2008, and still keep all of 2004 running on the same machine?

Hi wryta and MS office-for-Mac users,

I also have the same idea with wryta. I like some feature of MS PP 2004 but want to keep MS PP 2008 too. In addition to the question of wryta, I am wondering if I can remove MS PP 2008 and install MS PP 2004 in stand-alone manner. Is it possible?
Thanks in advance and appreciated for your suggestion.

I've got both PowerPoint 2004 and 2008 installed on
my Leopard box, and they seem to coexist just fine.
Not sure if there really are any serious issues,
aside from file association, which is easy enough
to do in Finder.
