Can I save my Contacts' List?

I need to reformat my HD, and I do not want to lose all
the e-mail addresses I have in my contacts list.

Is there any way of saving this information so I would
not have to type it all over again?

The file you need to back up is your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's
where all the mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.

I use FILE INPUT ... EXPORT to save and to restore.
In the dialog box, I choose EXPORT TO A FILE
then file type of PERSONAL FOLDER FILE (*.pst)
then choose the folder (in your case, choose CONTACTS, and if there are
subfolders, check the Include Subfolders checkbox. For me I choose PERSONAL
FOLDERS and check the box, and that backup everything.)
then, choose the filename and media destination, and how you want
duplicates to be handled. Then, FINISH.

Works like a champ. If you want to restore your contacts, just use IM<PORT,
and reverse everything.

FWIW, this will work, but it's better to save and reuse a PST than to rely
on import and export. You'll save more data and have less chance for data
corruption.

Thank you very much for all your help. I copied the .pst
file and I noticed that all of my settings were also
saved with it.
