Can I save to pdf in Visio and retain hyerlinks?

I am thinking of purchasing Visio. Before I buy, I need to determine whether
I can safe to pdf and still retain hyperlinks in flowcharts. I know that
such a feature is not present in Smartdraw.

Save to PDF in Visio is currently accomplished through 3rd party tools such
as Acrobat or Distiller. You would have to check the specific tool to see
how it handles hyperlinks.

The next version of Visio will have native support for PDF output and that
will preserve hyperlinks. Look for Visio 12 to be released in the second
half of this year.
