Can I send e-mail from XL even if no e-mail is setup on the pc.

Hi,

This may not be possible but I'd like to ask. Is it at all possible to send
e-mail directly from XL even if there is no e-mail account setup on the pc?
The pc is connected to the internet 24/7, it is setup for web access but
there is no application setup for e-mail. I'd like the user of the XL
application to be able to send me an occasional e-mail for support. There is
no need for the user to receive e-mail, just to send one to only one e-mail
address.

If you use Win 2000 or Win XP and If you know
the name of the SMTP server of your provider you can use CDO
http://www.rondebruin.nl/cdo.htm

Actually it will be installed on Win98 or WinMe machine. Thanks, I'm going
to look at your site again (I've looked before but I didn't check the
problem section).

This is possible Harlan.

But Outlook is no option anymore for a lot of things.
