can i set someone else's calendar as my calendar too?

I have been sent a calendar of events at my school which I would like to be
my primary calendar and have reminders sent to my screen from it. I cannot
rename it to be 'calendar' and have it give me reminders and I cannot think
how to merge my existing calendar with it either. Do I really have to copy
the hundreds of items therein across one at a time before they will act as
reminders for me? If it is possible I wish to then have it transferred to my
pda. Is this possible?

Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook]

Display the calendar from which you want to copy items in a by category view.
Select all, right click and drag to the destination calendar FOLDER.
Release the mouse and selecti either copy or move. If you have a large
number of items to copy/move, go have a cold one and come back in about 10
minutes or so.
