Is there a way to have the speaker notes display directly on the slides
during a Powerpoint presentation. (Without having to publish as a web page..
that's the only place I see the Show speaker notes setting) Just need a
regular PPT that shows speaker notes directly on the slides.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Why not use View > Notes Page?

The whole point of notes is to have something for the speaker to see that
the audience does not, or to have additional notes that would make the slide
overcrowded.

Is there a reason you don't have the information that should be on the slide
right on the slide in the first place? I'm having trouble figuring out what
would be in a slide note that should be on the slide but without a reason
for it not being on the slide in the first place.

In my case I want to distribute a PDF version of the PowerPoint presentation via email to others for comments. Therefore 4 slides per page, gray-scale is good enough and keeps the size reasonable. The problem I have is that when you have long notes on a slide even if I have 1 slide per page the notes do not show completely. There seems no way to include longer notes without sending the whole PowerPoint file - 13 meg, vs a 1.2 PDF file - and some of my reviewers don't have PowerPoint therefore they need it as a PDF file.
