I would like to take notes on my Laptop and when I return to my desk top pc
have all the changes to the notes copied over to my Desktop. Is there anyway
I can do this automaticly? I have a Pocket PC and it can automaticly change
info between the two computers upon connection. Is there anyway One note can
accomplish this?

Can I assume you have a network in place on which you will do the copying
between the two PCs? Which OS i installed on the two machines?

If we take OneNote out of the picture for a second, we're just looking to
keep two copies of a file synchronized. The built-in Offline Files and
Folders in Windows (W2K and later, including XP) should work.

Search the onlilne help and MS' website for "Offline Folders" for more
information about the requirements in setting this up. You will basically:
* put the "master" copy of the OneNote files on the laptop
* share out that folder on the network
* connect to the shared folder from the desktop
* set the files on that connected folder as "Available Offline"
* Point OneNote to this folder (Tools | Options | Open and Save | Set the
"My Notebook" path).

I'm purposely leaving out a lot of details here, but this should work for
you.

I use Briefcase all the time to keep my files synchronized between my laptop
and desktop. Briefcase is already installed during Windows installations so
you don't have to buy anything more. In Windows Help, look for "Briefcase".
It will get you to setting up one. Using Briefcase, you can use the files
offline. You can choose when to synchronize when you are connected. It can
sync-up in either direction provided either source or target has been
modified and not both.
