Can I stop spiders getting my email address

I have been trying to put different scripts behind my email address on the
contact page of my business web site.
Unfortunately I haven't yet managed to find one that will work with
Publisher 2003 that I am using. Does anyone have a suggestion for me??
I have tried a couple of free javascript versions and HTML but nothing that
will work when I put the script into the page, all you see is the HTML in a
text box, not an email address.....

Any suggestion??
