Can I stop stop Outlook 2007 opening twice in XP

If I have Outlook 2007 open and accidently click on the quick launch
icon it opens Outlook again so I have 2 copies running.

Can I stop this happening? I only want it to run one copy maximum even
if I accidently open it again.

Any help appreciated.
