Re: Outlook 2000
The close command will delete my inbox message. Can I change this so that I
can close and keep my message?

Do you mean when you close Outlook your Inbox messages get deleted? Very odd
if that's what you're experiencing

After opening and reading an email, if I "X" (upper right corner red X) out
of the email it is permanently deleted. If I use the delete "x" it goes to
my delete file as it should. Sometime I want the email to stay in the Inbox
after I have read it and I think it should do that when I use the upper right
corner X.

I hate to ask but are you sure that you don't have your Inbox filtered to
only show unread messages? Simply closing the window shouldn't trigger any
sort of delete event (especially a permanent delete).
