Can I take audio notes in OneNote from an existing audio file?

I gave a presentation that I recorded on a digital voice recorder, and have a
..wav file of the recording (which I can convert to whatever format I may
need). But since I was the presenter, I couldn't present and take notes at
the same time. I would like to go back and listent to the presentation, and
take audio notes of the recording. Is it possible to somehow use an existing
sound file with the OneNote audio notes feature? Or would I need to
re-record it into OneNote and start from scratch?

No need to re-record.
In ON 2007 one just imports the audio file and can then run playback
and add annotations. Works perfect.
If it's WAV file, I would recommend to convert the audio to WMA first.

It can be done in ON2003, but it's not that easy.
Kathy Jacobs recently offered to put instructions together.
