Can I track video producers' tasks w/ Project?

I want to track scheduling of multiple video producers' activities. Does not
require many of the features of project however I want an easy way to
schedule and track.

Any suggestions on setting up? Many are 1-2 day events followed by another 2
day event of editing.

It sounds like a good application of project.

I have a friend who is a video producer and I made the case that she should
attend one of my Project classes.
I had her convinced except for the price (it seems that independent
producers such as she have limited funds for training and often can't afford
to lose billable days to training).

But it was clear to her and I that video production is a project like
building a house or writing software...

Exactly! In fact, I like to use a film/video production project as the
demonstration project in my classes because it has almost all the elements a
PM encounters managing projects in just about any industry.
