Can I upgrade from Wordperfect 12 to Office 2003

I have a new laptop with Wordperfect 12 installed. I would like to have
Office 2003. Is it possible just to buy an 2003 upgrade, or will I have to
buy a full version?

Interestingly, back yonks ago, you could use the Upgrade version of (I
think) Office 97 if you had any component of Lotus Smartsuite installed....
