Can I upgrade to 2004?

I have a 3-year old G4 powerbook with Office x.1 on it. I have the CD
for that version of Office.

I'm buying a new dual-core notebook, which is scheduled to arrive in a
couple weeks. I need to run Office 2004 on the notebook.

Question: can i install my old version of Office on the new laptop,
and then buy an upgrade version of Office 2004? That would be a lot
cheaper than buying the full (standard) version.

You don't need to install the old version you can point the installer to the
Office CD to install the upgrade....
