Can I use a template for a book jacket? What about copyright?

Do you have some information you can share? It looks like the background
template design, even though you can change colors - is protected by
copyright. Is that so?

Thank you. This is a template that came with Office 2003, I like the general
style but changed colors for a personal presentation. Now I'm wondering
about the book jacket but bet I can't use it.

Microsoft has really cracked down on the use of their graphics. And if you
think about it, you really can't blame them. Design work cost money and I
certainly wouldn't want to spend my time/money on something then allow
others to profit from it.

Most of the templates that come with Office products are there to use, most do
not have clipart but shapes and autoshapes. Changing the color is okay. If you
are in doubt read the license agreements.
