can I use CMW on OEM office

I have some computers with the OEM version of Office 2003. I would like to
modify the default install using the Custom Maintenance Wizard. Can I apply
a CMW to a OEM install of Office 2003. (I have a feeling that it will only
work on MSDN or Open Volume versions of Office)

If not, is there another way to specify Exchange server and %username% as
default for Outlook?

thanks
Ken

Yes, you should be able to do that, but remember that it still needs the original source files. You can also export a .prf file from the CMW and invoke it with any of the other methods described in the Office REsource Kit docs.

When I try to use the CMW (or any transform for that matter) with an OEM
copy of Office 2003 Pro I get an error. This version if Microsoft Office
2003 does not support Office Custom Maintenance Wizard files.

I have been told that this should work, but It is not. I have tried it on 3
different situations. All latest version of ORK. All on new clean PCs. I
have tried with OEM office and with office that comes with Action Pack.

Anyone know?!
