can I use office upgrade?

I currently have works suite 2000 which came with my
computer. I would like to purchase the office upgrade
version as I have no desire to fork out the money
otherwise. Will the upgrade work for the Works Suite? I
know that Office 97 upgrade, which I possess, upgraded
early Works packages.

If Works does not qualify for an upgrade, then you just need to insert the
Office 97 CD-ROM at the appropriate point during the install of Office XP.
