Can I use OneNote on my laptop and desktop at the same time?

If you read the license, you can actually use it on your laptop and desktop
at the same time...
But only you can be the one using it...

...or do I need to buy a separate licence?

TIA

:) ... You have to be pretty cleverand dexterous to use it on a desktop and laptop at the same time. I couldn't manage it. :)

As far as I am aware you can have OneNote installed on two machines
(one desktop, one laptop) and use it on one machine at a time.

BUT ... I am no licensing expert.

Thanks, just asking to be sure.
Some times I use the desktop for trip planning and Onenote is
very convenient for such a use.

Cheers.

Actually I've read the EULA but I couldn't find any mention of this.

"The Software may not be installed, accessed, displayed, run, shared or used
concurrently on or from different computers, including a workstation,
terminal or other device."

Is it a common practice that MS products can be used on both a user's laptop
and a desktop? I need some definitive help on this, please.

That's what it says in the EULA.

But how do I do that? When my notebook failed, I tried to install
Office on my desktop so I could keep working while I waited on repair.
But when I tried to activate it, the program said that it had already
been activated on another machine. I assume OneNote would have behaved
the same way if I'd had it at the time. Would it have been different
if I'd installed it first on the desktop and then on the notebook?
Does activation know the difference?

It may depend on your version of the Office product. If it came with an OEM
setup on a specific computer, then it is locked to only that computer
because it was included in the price of the computer system.

Most Office "family" products may be installed on a desktop computer and a
portable (laptop/Tablet PC) for the same person's use. Those products have
always been that way. Additionally, some of the education versions (special
price, no difference in the product itself) are allowed to be installed on
three systems.
