Can I use Verdana size 9?

S

Sherlock

I'm finding that Verdana size 10 bold is okay on-screen, but too in-your-face
in print. Verdana size 8 bold is okay in print, but too small on-screen at
1024x768.

I don't want to have different views just to print. Too much extra work just
to change the label font size.

Verdana size 9 is not listed, but if I type it and press Enter, it works
fine as far as I can tell. Does it cause any problems I might not notice? If
customers at other companies use my forms, will it cause them any problems?

Verdana size 9 appears to be standard in Word and Excel.

Thanks.

Hi. There is no problem doing as you have done. The point sizes listed in the tool bar are just "standard sizes"--not the only sizes. Modern fonts scale to any size. So you can feel free to use 9pt all you like.

If you open the properties dialog for your view, you can also set default fonts and sizes for certain controls. This might make things easier for you.
