Can InfoPath help with Problem Managment?

We currently have a system of reporting problems via an email form to the
Problem manager inbox.
This is then manually redirected to the correct department and the info
copied into a database, given the next PR number and saved.
Replies to the email each have to be manually input into the access database
when they arrive.
Can InfoPath streamline this procedure?

If I good understand you want that infopath put the form you have fill
out directly in the correct database?

But the person who fillout the form know in which departement that go?
And after department has different database or there are only one
database?

If the personne who filled out the form know that no probleme to do
that with infopath.

The first person to fill it out will only give a brief description.
System name, date, problem etc.
This must be emailed to the Problem manager, was is only to enform them.
The problem manager needs the ablitity to put a new problem report number on
the form, the next number on in the list, and fill out the rest of the info,
department etc. Then that department needs to see the form, so they can fix
the issue. when the department has fixed it, it shouold be updated and closed.

It sounds to me like InfoPath could work well for you given you have
somone to sit for a few hours to design a good form. Basically you will
be designing one form with different sections for each "stop" along the
way. Just as you can forward IP forms to gather digital signatures and
additional information from various supervisors, you could do the same
thing here.

It also needs to grab a number that will act as a referance to reporting and
finding it in the future.
Can infopath create reports?
we have an Access database at the moment which does the job i want infopath
to do.
It can create reports like haw many problems a certain department closed
this week, or how many problems are still outstanding.

The number needs to be unique.
Each and every problem needs to be cross referanced at a later date for
problem finding ect.
How would it look at our access database and pick the next number?

If you integrate with SharePoint, you can promote the reference number which can be used in another InfoPath form, or within SharePoint.
