Can mail merge create seperate files instead of one mail merged file?

Sandy

When using mail merge, Word merges into one file with multiple mail merged version. I need it to merge into seperate files. The application I am using creates a three page document that is going to be sent out to each of the records in the data file. I want to be able to staple those three docs but cannot unless they are each a seperate file

Thank-you for your help

Yes and no :)

Word will merge to a single file, and while I can't see why it would make
any difference to you whether they were separate files - as you could print
the letters separately, if you wanted, from the main file - it is possible
to split the merged document into separate files in a second process - see
