Can microsoft project be used to manage testing?

I am currently using Mercury TestDirector to manage errors found during
testing. With Test Director, I am able to set the priority, severity,
status, and many other details during the life of a bug. Does Microsoft
Project have any functionality similar to this?

What gaps or problems are you having with your current tool? What are
you expectations of potential benefits by moving to a different tool?
What is your wish list? It's those gaps and expectations that need to
be known before giving any really relevant advice.

From my limited experience with TestDirector, I think you're better
off sticking with it. You can't get the same kinds of information in
Project without creating each field as a custom field. It's just not
worth the effort when TestDirector already has all of that built in.
