Can mobile sync be limited to specific Outlook contact records?

I have a large contacts dbase under Outlook, and I would to limit syncing
with my phone to just certain records that I "flag" as needed in my HTC
smartphone. Is there an easy way to accomplish and maintain this going
forward? I would like to avoid multiple dbases and just use a field within
each record if possible.

Not an Outlook question. Outlook has no control over and does not
participate in a synchronization process. Ask whoever supports your sync
software.
