Can MS Excel cause my computer to reset itself?

It's seems to be the weirdest thing that I've seen from a computer in quite
some time, but my PC has just reset itself three times in a row, each time
whilst I was in the midst of an attempt to drag the last field from the
"Choose fields to add to report" list into the "Legend Fields (Series)" list
for a PivotTable in MS Excel 2007. Several fields had already been added to
the "Legend Fields (Series)" list by the same drag-n-drop method without any
PC-reset occurring. The Source Data range for the PivotTable had only
recently been expanded to include these fields. Has anyone else experienced a
(repeatable) PC-reset whilst trying to perform a specific operation in Excel
'07?
