Can not access public documents folder

J

Josh

I'm receiving the following message when I try to access the public documents
section of Project Server 2003.

-----------------
Microsoft JScript runtime error '800a01a8'

Object required

/ProjectServer/doclib/DocLibMain.asp, line 154
-----------------

Can someone tell me what I need to do to fix this? I think this started
after I entered the public documents area and tried to delete a subdocument
folder.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

Just for yucks, try clearing your cookies out of your browser and see if
this helps. If it doesn't, please let us know how you've tried to
troubleshoot this: For example, does this happen for all users on all
machines? What exactly did you do to add and remove the subfolder? Describe
your system setup.

Hi Gary,

This problem seems to happen from any PC that I use to connect to Project
Server. As I mentioned before, I think this has to do with a shared document
library that I deleted from the public documents section. I say this because
the problem occured right after I tried to delete the shared document library.

A few months ago, during the testing phase, a new shared document library
called "Windows XP SP2 Deployment" was created under the public documents
section. I decided the other day to go ahead and remove this shared document
library since it was no longer needed. The method I used to remove it was by
accessing the Windows XP SP2 Deployment document library through the PWA.
Once inside the document library, I changed the view from All documents to
Explorer view. In explorer view, I selected the Windows XP Sp2 Deployment
library and deleted it like I would normally do through the windows explorer.
It started to delete some files but then it ran into something that was being
used and aborted. After that I closed my browser and relogged back in the
system to check the public documents section and this is when I noticed the
problem.

I looked at line 154 of /ProjectServer/doclib/DocLibMain.asp and found this
piece of code. /ProjectServer/doclib/DocLibMain.asp corresponds to c:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office Project Server 2003\IIS Virtual
Root\DOCLIB\doclibmain.asp.

Are other users able to access the public documents folder?

error message.

Correction... That is no, anyone who attempts to access the public documents
folder gets the same error message.
