Can-not activate Word 2002

when i try to activate it via internet it just sais "connecting.... " and
then never goes anywhere. i have to ctl+alt+del to 'end-task' it. then when i
go to shut the machine down it takes a very long time.

What web browser do you have? If you have Windows XP with Service Pack
2, is the firewall active? Do you have a third-party firewall program?
Are you connecting to the internet through a proxy server?

i ended up just doing it by phone. it seems to be my Norton Security going
screwy, as im having similar dificulties with e-mail (Outlook Express) and
other internet apps. they just get hung up when trying to connect to the
internet. and no messeges from norton or windows???

Norton Security 2005, up to date (1-5-05)
