Can not connect to Project Server

I just installed Project 2003 server with sp2a and Project Pro with sp2.
When I go to the Project Pro...Tools, Options, Collaborate Tab...and put in
what I believe to be the Project Server URL and test connection, it says
Project Server has returned an unexpected response. I saw the posts on this
but neither suggestion helped.

How do I confirm the correct URL that I should be using? Any other
suggestions?

You are not connecting to Project Server correctly through Microsoft Project
Professional. Refer to the following FAQs for the correct steps to connect
with the built-in Administrator account:

Dale...I still get the Project Server returned an unexpected response after
doing this. I can get to the PWA through http://servername:portno. though.
Just not sure what I am doing wrong. How can I find out the correct URL to
use? Thanks for your help!
