Can not convert to RTF

Hi,

when I try to convert to RTF, then Word hangs!
The document is 220 pages filed with pictures and tables, about 10 MB.

Is there a tool to "debug" the document?

RTF documents are often many, many times the size of their document
equivalent. If this document is 10MB as a doc, it may just be too big for
conversion the RTF. As an experiment, create a copy of the document and
delete half of it. Does half the document convert to RTF?

Hi Terry,

I divided the document in 2 parts, but Word hangs when I tryied to
convert to RTF.

My problem is that if I: select all the contents and Press F9; to
update all the Word fields:

I receive a message that not all fields have been able to update.

I really don't know what to do. The document is full with
cross-references and ....

it is Word 2003. Office sp2.

I take any advices.

Open the document using the Open and Repair option. See if that fixes it and
allows everything to work correctly.

Thanks Terry and sorry for my late response.

I have repaired MS Office, but there was no improvement. I continued on
this idea with uninstalling the Swedish version MS Office and
installing the English version.
The only difference was that the file has been a litlle smaller from 36
MB to 33 MB, originally but originally about 9 MB.

I'm open for all ideas!

No, I didn't say repair Office, I said open the document using the Open &
Repair option. You need to click the little arrow at the side of OPEN in the
File, Open dialog.
