Can not find requested contact

Hello! While trying to find a contact using the 'Find a
Contact' search bar, I receive the message 'can not find
requested contact'.

But in fact the company name is exactly the name I am
requesting ('file as' is the Company name).

It baffles me, as well as searching for say, 'Smith' - it
will find a single contact (John Smith), but not offer
any other - 'Smith Pipe Company' or 'Smith Welding', etc..

Any ideas what going on, or where I may find solutions?
