Dear NG,

Please forgive a cross posting in microsoft.public.outlook.general, but
perhaps this is a better NG for this question.

I have Office Professional 2003 with Outlook installed. I tried to run a
VBA program I created under Outlook 2000 and it would not run from a button
I created. In investigating the issue I find I can not run anything under
the tools | macro menu. I can not get to macro, security, or VBA. I tried
running set up again with detect and repair. I also tried to install
VBScripts, although I am not trying to run a script. What has happened to
my Outlook? Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Bob

I have been having some problems with VBA in Outlook 2003 as well. I find
that for some reason Outlook disables it. To reenable:
Click Help-About Outlook-disabled items

You will probably find VBA shown there. Select and click enable.

Thank you Sanjay,

That did it. I found that VBA was disabled. By enabling VBA I had my
programs back again. I think some Microsoft update disabled VBA. What is
disturbing is none of the books on VBA mentioned that disabled items appear
on the Help menu item. Good place to hide something:).

Cheers,

Bob
