Can not insert Object

In powerpoint 2007 I am trying to insert an Excel workbook ( or basically
anything). I get :The server application, source file, or item can't be
found, or returned an unknown error. You may need to reinstall the server
application.

It asks me if I want to repair and I do which does nothing. Any help is
appreciated.

Thanks but I have seen that before. I should NOT need it as no other machine
who gets MS OFFICE is getting that file. It has got to be something else.

I am not saying it cant be any. What I am saying is we deploy office 2007
though Active Dir. No one else has an issue with this. I thought it was
SnagIt software but I removed it and even removed office and reinstalled it
and it still doesn't work.
Policy does not let me install this (I just consult).
