Can not install Graph 8 with Office97

For years I've been able to build Access forms with charts using MSGraph8.
Suddenly I can't. I get an error message about the OLE server not being
registered. Since MSGraph8 is not an .ocx file, I can not register it
manually. I've installed and uninstalled Office 97 several times to no avail.
I've removed all office software from my computer, manually deleted any files
left over and even removed as many registry entries for Office as I could
find to try to get a clean install. Still no success.

Unfortunately, I still have a client that uses Office97 and have lost 3
valuable days trying to correct this problem. If anyone has any idea why I'm
suddenly experienceing this problem, please let me know.

Note: I'm using WindowsXP Pro, and I've tried various restore points. I was
not able to go back far enough to the point where MSGraph still worked.
