can not locate an editor

I HAVE DOWNLOADED YOUR MICROSOFT WORD 97 ON LINE SO I CAN
VIEW DOCUMENTS WHICH COMES TO ME.
BUT I HAVE A PROBLEM, NORMALLY I ALWAYS USE TO BE ABLE TO
COPY AND EDIT DOCUMENTS THAT COMES TO ME, BUT I HAVE NOW
RECEIVED SEVERAL DOCUMENTS WHICH I NOT CAN COPY OR EDIT
TEXT TO, THIS IS A VERY BIG PROBLEM FOR ME WHEN I TRY TO
COPY AND/OR EDIT THE DOCUMENTS IT COMES UP SOME TEXT WHICH
SAYS " WORD VIEWER WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE AN EDITOR FOR THIS
FILE".
SO WHAT SHALL I DO THEN?
WHAT KIND OF SOFTWARE CAN I DOWNLOAD FROM YOUR WEB FILE
WWW.MICRO SO I CAN COPY AND EDIT THE DOCUMENTS?
PLEASE, HELP ME I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO????

The Word Viewer is just for reading and printing documents. It doesn't allow
you to edit them. In order to do that, you need a full version of Word
(which you have to purchase; it is not available for download).
