I have a shared Excel workbook in a heterogeneous network (Win 2K and
XP) on
a Samba file server. In the last week an engineer changed a formula
(changed
Count to Counta). Now when I open this workbook on 2 different 2K
machines it
opens to the point I can see the workbook, I get the derided hourglass
and it
says on the bottom of the screen Calculating 100% and that's it. I
don't
think the change had anything to do with my problem but ?. This
spreadsheet
opens fine on any XP machine but is slow to open on other 2K machines
and
again wont open on the 2 machines I need it to open on. I have tried
to
reinstall and update Excel and save the file in '2K file format'
