can not open office files by double clicking

can not open office files by double clicking, i had a fix
for this by using the regsvr32.exe used with some dll
file, i can't remember that dll file that fixed this issue.
i was hopping someone would direct me in fixing this issue.

Hi

I just tried the

run excel.exe /unregserver
then

excel.exe /regserver and that seemed to cure the use dde problem as well.

Give it a try.

First try the standard fix(es)......Tools>Options>General uncheck "ignore
other applications"

OR Start>Run "excel.exe /regserver"(no quotes and note the space before the /
mark).

You may have to enter your full path to excel.exe....in that case surround
with quotes as in..... "C:\mypath\to Excel\somewhere\excel.exe" /regserver
