Can not run, repair, uninstall or install MS Outlook 2003 !!!!!

Please help. After installing and uninstalling Lotus Smart Suit, I am
getting following message :

"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. MAPI32.DLL is corrupt or the
wrong version. This could have been caused by installing other
messaging software. Please reinstall Outlook."

When I try to uninstall or reinstall, I get the following message :-

"This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package
exists and you can access it, or contact the application vendor to
verify that this is a valid windows installer patch package."

While I'm thinking about it, see if there is a notes.ini on your system. If
the file exists, open it in notepad and change the NotDefaultMailTo value to
1.

I did not find Notes.ini on my computer any where. I tried to run
fixmapi.exe but nothing happened. I tried by double clicking on it
and tried to run in dos mode but nothing happened. I still get the
same message.

I did move MSOCache folder to another partition, the result is the
same. I installed LIST Tool and when I run it I get the following
error message :

"The Local Installation Source Tool has encountered an error:
0x80070002. Contact Microsoft product support for further
assistance."

Regards,

Looking at the text, it looks like the installer thinks that Microsoft
Office or another Office productivity application (e.g. Visio, Frontpage,
.etc) is installed and is trying to use the MSOCache folder. Have you tried
using the Local Installation Source (LIS) tool to see if the folder is
intact or can be moved to another drive?

Try deleting the cache with the LIS Tool and if you can, send me the setup
text files in the temp directory. I might be able to get a person from
Microsoft to take a peek to make sure that we are looking into the right
area and/or see if you should call Product Support to resolve.
