can not save my documents

I'm having about 3 problems with My Word 2003; email me to (e-mail address removed)

1. I can't save the documents. I try to save the document and the PC just
don't do anything. I try "Save as" it doesn't work either. I tried with .rtf
files, didn't work. I opened other office softwares and worked ok. I
unistalled and re-installed Word, still the same situation.

2. In addition with the problem above, sometimes a error message like this
comes to the screen "aotorecovery save postponed".

3. I have WinFax 10b. When I open Word it gives me and error message like
thhis "mergefax module not working" or something alike. After working in a
word document, when I go to the file menu and try the "Send to fax" it
doesn't work

For #1, have you activated Word? Is it a trial version that has expired? If
you answered yes to the first question and no to the second, see "Problems
in Windows Explorer or the Windows shell after you install security update
MS06-015" at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=918165 for another possible
explanation (though you don't say that Word is hanging when you try to save,
which would be the case if the update were the problem).

I'm guessing that the WinFax add-in may have something to do with the
problem. Make sure you don't have WinFax set as your default printer (not
that that's necessarily relevant, but just on general principle). But if you
are getting an error message from WinFax, I'd start the troubleshooting
effort there.

Did you ever fix your #1 issue (trying to save a document and it doesn't do
anything)? I recently started seeing this same problem with Word 2003 - word
does not hang when I try to save or save as, it just doesn't do anything.
